Late Victorian / Edwardian era Jewellery Box originally retailed by Ben Evans & Co Ltd Swansea - this retailer was sometimes referred to as 'The Harrods of Wales'

Wooden box covered with black / dark brown tooled leather with a green satin lining to the interior lid and base.

White metal carry handle to lid, hinges, lock fittings (no key) and shield key escutcheon.

Measures approx 10 Inches x 7 Inches x 4 Inches (25.50 cms x 17.50 cms x 11.00 cms)

Pre-owned.
Good antique used condition throughout with an aged patina - the usual wear & tear, scuffing / rubbing to the leatherwork - all as to be expected commensurate with age & usage.
Top right hand joint to the base is a little loose and would benefit from some minor attention (re-pinning / glueing) if desired.
Original inner tray no longer present.
