Car Bonnet / Hood Mascot - Race Horse and Jockey By Louis LeJeune-LL Mascots - Circa Mid 20thC-1930s to 1950s Vintage. 

Superb old equestrian racing themed car bonnet mascot in the form of a jockey and galloping racehorse cast by Louis.LeJeune-the long established and renowned makers of vintage motoring mascots. 

The horse and jockey figures are cleverly posed and angled to give the impression of galloping at speed around a racecourse. 

Very well detailed and cast in good quality heavy weight metal - believed to be chrome plated bronze    

Stands approx 95mm tall with an overall width of approx 150mm (nose to tail). Baseplate measures approx 65mm x 35mm.

Underside of baseplate is marked with maker's logo initials 'LL' interlinked within a circle, 'MASCOTS' and 'Made in England'

Weight approx 660 grams
