Royal Dux Horse Figures-Signed Wanke-Pair

Vintage Rearing Horse Figurines By Karl Wanke of Royal Dux 

Attractive pair of decorative Rearing Horses - believed to date to cira 1930s / 1940s after the artist Karl Wanke of Royal Dux 

These figures do not bear the Royal Dux pink triangle marks. However, do they have various impressed marks and the artists name 'Wanke' which is impressed on the hexagonal base. The name is difficult to make out.

There are the barely decernible remains of a very dark green ink which would have been a back stamp.

The back stamp may have read 'Royal Dux Deutschland or Royal Dux Czechoslovakia'.

It is impossible to work out which of these it could be and therefore, can only educate a guess as to the date of manufacture - that being 1938-45.

The colours are not an exact match, one being darker than the other.

Each measures approx. 19.50 cm 7.6" high

Good vintage used condition There are no chips.
