Antique Sterling Silver Fob Medal-Royal Marine Engineers (RME) Rifles Award 1921-1922-With Monogram

Superb solid sterling silver pocket watch pendant fob medal in the form of an elaborately decorated shield and dating to the 1920s.

Believed to have originally been a rifle shooting competition award presented to a member of the Royal Marine Engineers (R M E). The recipient's monogram being engraved on the shield cartouche.

The reverse is inscribed 'R.M.E. Rifles 1921. 1922'

Fully stamped with Birmingham hallmarks for 1921 (W) and the maker's initials 'HB&S' for Herbert Bushell & Son Ltd

Measures approx 1.50 Inches x 1.00 Inch (3.50 cms x 2.50 cms) excluding bale ring
