Vintage Part Set of the Edition De Luxe Contour Road Maps of Scotland published by The Times Newspaper.
 
Set of 5 large linen backed coloured fold-out maps & original slip case. The original set comprised 6 individual sheets of folded maps on linen - however this lot has one sheet missing (Sheet No 1).

Each map having individual panels mounted on linen
The individual sheets & areas covered are:
Sheet No 2 - Northern Counties including Orkney & Shetland Islands
Sheet No 3 - West Central Scotland
Sheet No 4 - Aberdeen, Dundee and the North Eastern Counties
Sheet No 5 - Glasgow, The Clyde & South Western Counties
Sheet No 6 - Edinburgh & South Eastrn Counties.

Scale: 3 miles to 1 Inch

Original cloth bound slip case. 
Produced under the direction of Alexander Gross F.R.G.S and published for The Times by 'Geographica' Ltd, 55 Fleet Street, London EC4
Undated but believed to date to circa 1920s / 30s era.

Pre-owned,used antique maps. Part Set (5 of the original 6 map set).
Each map in good clean antique used condition.
Original slip case is 'shabby', showing some usage /age wear & tear - see photos
