Interesting and attractive large lace Bertha collar believed to date to the late 19th / early 20th Century - Victorian / Edwardian era Appears to be a mix of 2 types of lace - a heavier tape with some raised work although over time these may have flatterned and therefore are not very prominant and possibly non existant in parts. Then a finer tape lace that resembles Bedfordshire lace. There are some hand worked fillings in a very subtle creamy lemon colour
Would make a nice display / practical piece, or authentic period prop
