Carved Cameo Brooch-Antique

Carved Cameo Brooch.

Beautiful old carved Cameo brooch.
Set within an oval shaped gilt metal mount.
Roll-over butterfly clasp & pin to reverse together with a bale for a necklace chain.
Can be used as a brooch or necklace pendant. 
Believed to be of Italian origin and date to the early 1900s 

Size:Approx 40 mm x 30 mm (1.50" x 1.25"). 

Pre-owned and used antique.
Carved cameo in very good condition. 
Gilt metal mount showing some wear.
There appears to have been a form of metallic 'rope' decoration to the circumference of the mount but this is no longer present - see photos.
