Antique Bisque Head Doll.

Possibly by Kammer & Reinhardt or Kestner (?)

Marks to the back of the head / neck appears to be a 'K', then a symbol 'R' above HALBIG' and then a '19'.

Fully jointed with very finely detailed, well moulded torso, arms, hands and legs. I cannot work out what they are made of.

Open mouth with tiny teeth.

Her dress, slip and pantaloons are lightly tacked onto the doll.

Size: Stands approx 7" (178 mm) tall. 

 

Extremely good antique condition.

As far as can be determined there are no hairlines to the head.

The moulding of the left eye socket (right in the photo) appears slightly larger which gives the impression of this eye being more open! Her sleep eyes are inclined to stick - they are stuck in open mode at the moment.

Hair may need a little tidy up.

The head is wobbly commensurate with age and play - the arms and legs, although not extremely loose are loose enough not to hold any pose.

We have not cleaned this doll, she is a little grubby and her clothing has some light staining commensurate with long term storage.
