Two lengths of lace joined together and designed to fold over to form the choker.The lace is believed to be handmade and to date to the late 18th century - however please take a close look at the photos to satisfy yourself.
The gathered ends have brass hook & eye fastenings - these may be a later addition during the 19th century .
Nice display / practical piece, or authentic period prop for theatre or reenactments
