Tambour lace embroidery and cutwork pattern. Believed to be dating somewhere within the 19th century but we have been unable to track down anything similar. It is rather long so presumably intended to be gathered together around the waist or perhaps tied round the back? Handsewn hems. This item has been in long term storage and has not been cleaned, hence is at present a creamy white colour!
Size: Approx. 43" long measuring from the centre seam (86" long altogether) and 12.50" at the widest point. Approx 14" around the neck
Condition: Pre-owned, used antique. One small patch of light storage marking which in our opinion is barely noticeable. However, this may not be the case if it is cleaned! A few neat darns and several small holes mainly to one side.
