Unusual antique novelty necklace pendant / watch chain fob in the form of a ships wheel with an integral compass.

Believed to date to around the late 1800s / early 1900s.

Unmarked silvertone metal casing with ball and rope decorations to rim. Glass facing front and back.

Diameter approx 1.00 Inch (2 cms)

Unfortunately the compass is no longer working - the tiny pointer is still present within the casing but has become detached from the pivot pin.

Some 'nics' around rim edge of one of the glass facings.

Ideal as a restoration project or nautical themed Steampunk costume accessory.
